Albert's Campaign Promise

  • Lowering Taxes: As your councillor, I pledge to work tirelessly to reduce the tax burden on hardworking Edmonton families and businesses. By cutting wasteful spending and streamlining city services, we can put more money back into the pockets of our citizens. 

  • ​ Fiscal Responsibility: I believe in balanced budgets and responsible financial management. Our city must live within its means, prioritise essential services, and avoid unnecessary debt that will burden future generations.

  • Efficient and Effective City Services: I will work to ensure that every tax dollar is spent wisely and efficiently. By implementing innovative solutions, embracing technology, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, we can deliver better services at a lower cost.​

  • Open and Accessible Government: I believe that an informed and engaged citizen is the foundation of a strong democracy. As your councillor,  I will work to increase transparency, improve communication, and actively seek input from all Edmontonians on the issues that matter most.

  • Increase Public Safety: Our neighbourhoods deserve to be safe and secure. I pledge to work closely with local law enforcement to tackle crime, improve emergency response times, and implement proactive measures that deter criminal activity, ensuring that our communities remains a safe place to work and live. 

Meet Albert

Albert Mazzocca has spent over 30 years as a small business owner in Edmonton, building homes and strengthening communities. As the owner and operator of a housing company, Albert has managed countless projects, worked with people from diverse backgrounds, and ensured that every job was completed with quality and accountability. His decades of experience have reinforced the values of fiscal responsibility, transparency, and strong community relationships — values he is committed to bringing to City Council.

 

Born and raised in Edmonton, Albert is deeply connected to the city he calls home. He is the proud father of three children — two daughters and a son. After losing his wife when the children were young, Albert raised them as a single father, instilling in them the same resilience, responsibility, and work ethic that guide his own life.

 

Albert’s leadership extends beyond his business. His hands-on experience in construction and community development has given him a grounded perspective on the challenges families and neighborhoods face. He understands the importance of safe communities, reliable infrastructure, and responsible spending — and he is ready to use that knowledge to serve the residents of Ward Dene.

 

As a councillor, Albert’s priorities will focus on accountability at City Hall, improving community safety, ensuring responsible budgeting, and fostering opportunities for families and businesses to thrive. 

Albert’s Story and Vision

How did Albert’s childhood and family values shape who he is today?

I was born and raised in Edmonton to hardworking immigrant parents from Italy. My childhood was shaped by a strong sense of family and community. When my father suffered a serious injury at work, everything changed for our family. My mother, siblings, and I had to come together and rely on one another to get through tough times. We also leaned on the support of our community, which showed me the importance of standing by your neighbours.

What inspired Albert to run for city council?
​
I was inspired to run for city council because I see too much wasteful spending and not enough accountability at City Hall. Decisions are being made without regard for the everyday families who have to live with the consequences. I worry about the loss of common-sense values that once brought our communities together. As a father, I want to ensure a future that’s affordable and sustainable for my children. Safety is also a top priority — every family deserves to feel secure in their own neighbourhood. I believe it's time for leadership that listens, acts responsibly, and puts families first.

I’m not a career politician — I’m a father, a hard worker, and a lifelong Edmontonian who understands the challenges families face. I’ve lived through tough times and know the value of community, accountability, and common sense. I listen first, speak honestly, and believe in getting things done. Residents can trust that I’ll always put their needs before special interests. I’m committed to transparency, responsible spending, and keeping our neighbourhoods safe and affordable. I’m running to be a voice for the people — because this is our home.
